If you can figure out a new route for the belt, what I have done in the past, to modify my accessory drive to accept under drive pullies, is to drive to a parts store, cut the belt, rout it the way you want, cut to fit and then measure the belt. The compressor started spinning very slowly but the clutch was slipping on the pulley. I checked the air gap and it is within spec. When I was tightening the bolt onto the compressor it would spin without too much extra effort so I think the compressor is not locked up.

Apr 14, 2018 · Hey grey! That's not the clutch spinning, it's the pulley. The parts of the clutch you can see are attached to the pulley so it looks like the whole kit and caboodle is spinning, but there are stationary parts of the clutch attached to the compressor body that aren't spinning, and some other parts attached to the shaft that spin when the clutch is engaged.
